>> Knowledge Assessments

Competency is determined through skill demonstrations and a written knowledge assessment completed within four weeks after each program.  The written knowledge assessments, which can be completed online or submitted on paper, serve a threefold purpose:

  • Checking comprehension
  • Reinforcing learning by reminding Candidates of key concepts and ideas
  • Indicating content that needs to be processed further

Each knowledge assessment takes several hours to complete.  Participants find the assessments informative and a way to receive feedback on areas that need improvement.

Knowledge assessments must be returned to ALESYS within four weeks of completing the program being assessed.  A passing score of 85% is required on all assessments.  An ALESYS Senior Learning Manager provides Candidates with feedback and coaching points based upon the written assessment.  If a Candidate does not pass the written assessment, they must take the assessment again after receiving feedback and coaching.  Candidates must pass the written assessment before progressing to the next program.

An ALESYS Senior Learning Manager will be available to help Candidates work on areas that need improvement, as well as to provide answers to any questions they may have about the content.  We suggest that Candidates schedule a meeting with their Manager to discuss their performance on each of the assessments and to plan specific actions to further enhance their competence with the content of each program.
